FORT WORTH RESTAURANT TOUR

Junsuree Thai House at 1109 W. Magnolia (east of Benito’s) makes this a lot easier. Their lunch buffet is amazing, I don’t know how to describe it. It’s more than a buffet; it’s a work of art.

This is only part of the beauty of their Thai buffet. I can’t even pronounce most of the names of these dishes without getting that trying-not-to-laugh-in my-face look from the staff, and the buffet eliminates this altogether. Pick up a plate, and scoop up whatever looks good; now that’s my way to eat!

I find most vegetarian food boring, but the Thai’s alone seem to get it right. (Hank Hill voice: “I just ate TOFU?”) Most Chinese places just chop up a bunch of onions, carrots and celery, and they seem to think we’re afraid of spices. Chili cook-offs used to be a big part of Texas culture, and only lame Mexican restaurants with lame hot sauce and chips, or really bad food go under here; my point being, Texans are NOT afraid of spicy food.

At Junsuree Thai House try the Angry Chicken if you have sinus problems; it will open you “Right Up”, pronto. They have another dish with ground beef and some big flat noodles that is harmless looking but is almost as hot as the Angry Chicken.
On a lighter note there is another dish made with chopped up fish filets I dearly love. Try the fried vegetables, and don’t forget to try the coconut soup, and the green tapioca.
